Hairstyling & Make Up Artistry

As well as being self taught, I have had the pleasure of investing in my career and training alongside some of the Industry’s leading artists, Mustafa Avci, Shamalah, Saira Rahman and Aamir Naveed, I truly believe in staying on trend and investing in yourself year after year.

My moto has always been;
“If You look good, You feel good,
If You feel good, i’ve done good!”

With regards to my make up artistry journey, i had already achieved my Level 2 in Global Cosmetic Studies back at college in 2004 but never pursued it as i absolutely LOVED doing hair.

I absolutely loved doing make up on family and friends but never wanted to add that pressure with my clientele until i was content with my hairstyling creativity.

So, i took the plunge and decided to add make up, to my portfolio, i wanted to jump in wholeheartedly so the first thing i did was build my confidence, i wanted to revisit the theory side aswell as the practical element to make up, so i trained with ‘Lookamillion Studios’ Sanna and Anisah Lass, again one of the best courses i did, im absolutely loving dolling up my Brides and Bridesmaids now where i can see and be there for their full process.

One of the most special days for Brides, is their wedding day so when i got a modest bride booking, who wanted her Hijab styled alongside her outfit, we got chatting about how even though she was a modest bride she does’nt get to embrace the ‘hairstyling’ process and glam.

My light bulb moment began, i said well ‘you dont have to miss out’! I offered to style her hair UNDER her hijab, she was gobsmacked and said ‘is tht even doable’? At this point i had no idea but all i knew was i wanted her ti feel EXTRA SPECIAL and if i did succeed, atleast she would then have the opportunity to unveil her glam to her husband on the wedding night..

I awaited to hear her feedback, the next day i had received THE most heartfelt, genuine and beautiful message i had ever received from my modest bride, about how amazing she felt unveiling her look exclusively to her husband and how it stayed intact throughout her event and how special her husband felt for the efforts we had gone through!

I was ecstatic and thats how i became one of the very few first artists to offer ‘Hair and Hijab Styling’ for my modest brides.

I absolutely LOVE my modest brides and to be a part of their and their husbands special moments.
